This London Fashion Week Men’s (LFWM), Topman is teaming up with CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) to shine fresh light on mental health in the fashion industry.
This LFWM we’ve partnered with CALM to launch ‘The Common Room‘.
Kicking off on Saturday 5th January to Monday 7th January, Topman will transform Barber & Parlour on Redchurch Street into a unique venue for models and members of the fashion week community to take time out; encouraging rejuvenation, recreation and communication between shows, with emotional wellbeing at its core.
Topman is partnering with CALM over the next 12 months, working to encourage and facilitate conversation around mental health at key times throughout the year. LFWM can typically be a high-pressure, time-poor environment; sure, it’s great fun too, but this year we’re focusing less on the clothing and more on the wellbeing of the people involved.
Be sure to keep your eyes on the Topman blog for our series of guest features from industry insiders. Harvey James, writer and model, will be talking to us about loneliness in the industry, Ted Stansfield, Digital Editor of Another Man, will discuss his take on self-care and self-soothing and Niall Underwood, model and freelance journalist writes about the importance of an inclusive conversation around mental health.
