Another top season has come to a close, so we’re here to do a quick round-up of the highlights of Ibiza 2018. Here are the places you need to add to your list for summer 2019.
From the start of the season ’till closing, Hï Ibiza is the height of the island. Considering the doors of Hï only opened in 2017, this venue has hosted some of the biggest names and well-known faces in its all-enchanting and very enticing set-up.
If you’re new to Ibiza, nothing will prepare you for the sheer vastity of it all. These clubs aren’t like your local get-up in your nearest town; they host thousands of people all there for the same things: music and a real party. This is a unity that creates the buzzing atmosphere from the moment you walk in to the second you stumble out at 6.30am (because trust us, you’ll lose time in Hï).
Hï is a state-of-the-art venue (making to the experience) that hosts some infamous nights including Glitterbox, Cream Ibiza and Black Coffee. Inside the club, you’ll find stages that set the DJs above any others with the highest standard of production. There are a series of hidden areas that transfix you in its paradise-like aesthetic, including two different gardens to venture off in, a rooftop with plush tents and Instagramable chairs and their most popular slide that whizzes you back down to earth. From the avatar-like lights flooding the trees to the futuristic dancers that scatter the stages, Hï is a wonderland that can’t be missed.
This season, Hï welcomed the likes of Roger Sanchez, Jamie Jones, Afrojack, Jonas Blue plus so, so many more. We were lucky enough to catch up with Nervo and Kungs on our visit, so be sure to check out what they had to say on the blog.
Home to the world-famous events of Pyramid, Elrow and Abode, Amnesia Ibiza wows the Ibiza scene with full-on shows. With performances by the likes of Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Chase & Status and Stephan Bodzin as well as many others, Amnesia has welcomed thousands through their doors including A-listers from all over.
Be sure to book tickets in advance and remember you need to collect them from one of their many pick-up points a few hours before the events. No hard-copy tickets will result in you spending a hell of a lot of money when you absolutely won’t get in!
A party hotel you don’t want to miss, you don’t need to stay here to enjoy the scenes it has to offer. With pool parties including Craig David’s TS5 and Rudimental & Friends as well as performances from the likes of The Kaiser Chiefs to Stormzy, you’ll never be short of an event to fill your days. Check in with their calendar and make sure you book a stay to coincide with your favourite events. Remember, when you stay here, you don’t pay any extra to party.
The world famous Ocean Beach Ibiza comes with a whole load of expectations; it’s safe to say that upon arrival at this day party extravagant, these expectations were well and truly met. From the production of the beach party to the all-day vibe of the event, go to Ocean Beach for a guaranteed good time.
Ocean Beach screams quality; it has waves of class running through it. With events including Kisstory, HotBed and Soul Heaven, listen to some of the coolest DJs from one of the many hired beds, from in the pool or from the dancefloor. Remember to always look up at Ocean Beach – they’re well known for putting on some sky-high events, and really, anything goes here.
The Ocean Beach restaurant certainly deserves a mention. No matter what point you are in your day, you can head over to the tables of the open restaurant to enjoy some of the finest food on the island. Don’t let the party scene fool you – the food here is good enough to go for that alone. Situated right on the coastline, tuck into a menu full of fresh seafood that’ll have you dancing in your seat. Lobster mac and cheese is only the tip of the iceberg here.
Be sure to add a series of Ocean Beach events to your summer 2019 plans so that you can soak up the sun in style.
Flower Power, Cocoon and F*** Me I’m Famous are just some of the nights that Pasha Ibiza host. Laced with a little crazy and a lot of sexy, Pacha is one of those clubs to tick off the list. With artists including David Guetta, Clavin Harris, Robin Schulz and Alesso taking centre stage, this is another venue to see if you want to be transported to the whirlwind of madness that Ibiza has to offer.
Ushuaïa has to be one of the most well-known Ibiza destinations. From their tower hotel to the triumphant raves they put on, this is the place you’d be mad not to visit. Day parties and night events, there’s always something going on here. Standout events include Ants and Nervo Nation.
You don’t get many nighttime outdoor clubs which makes Ushuaïa an experience alone – they do call it the #USHUAIAIBIZAEXPERIENCE after all. Ushuaïa has won multiple awards for their hotel and club scene, so if that isn’t an incentive, we don’t know what is.
Finding somewhere to stay when you go on holiday is never an easy task. There are so many factors you have to take into account when looking for the perfect location. Is it near good food destinations? Is it near the strip? How far is it to the beach or how much will taxis cost from this area?
We like to make things a little easier for you, so, for summer 19, we suggest you check out the Paraiso Ibiza Art Hotel. Part of the Concept Hotel Group, this hotel is built for the Ibiza-goers who are more in touch with the finer things. Let’s be rid of pee-smelling rooms and, instead, welcome an art gallery, funky interiors and black seafood spaghetti right at your fingertips. Situated in San Antonio Bay, you’ve got everything you need around you: decent restaurants, a strip of lively bars and a supermarket for good measure.
This hotel is all about art, that much is clear. As soon as the air-conditioning hits you as you come through the entrance the bold colours and popping deco is thrown in your face. This isn’t a bad thing, though; it makes for an experience that you’re not likely to get in any other hotel on the island. The Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel is well known for its pastel colour theme (great for the Gram) and luxury aesthetics. The pool is a standout attraction of its own, so be sure to spend plenty of time on one of the beds with a strong drink in hand.
