New emoji? Yes, please! Because it’s 2020 and we’re all doing our best to be a little more progressive and the newest emoji are no exception. Gender non-comforming Santas and brides, sad happy faces, and, our favourite, the Italian hand gesture, are all on their way to your keypads.
The official announcement was made via Emojipedia’s Twitter account and gives a sneak peek into the latest hieroglyphics which will be available later this year. Currently, the collection boasts 138 gender-neutral icons and this latest set expands on that with characters like Mx Claus.
