Our 7 Favourite Fitness Apps For Everyday Use

Has the lockdown fitness itch reached you yet? If you’re getting your sweat on, these 7 fitness apps might become your new best friends.

Running, boxing or escaping from zombies (no, really!), these 7 fitness apps will have you moving in no time. Especially the zombie one. Take no chances.

1. Strava

Probably the most popular fitness app out there, Strava (Swedish for ‘strive’, by the way), is the app that tracks your physical movements, distances and times. Whether you’re a runner, cyclist or an evening stroller, you can join challenges, beat your PB, connect with friends, plan routes and more.

Check it out here.

2. Centr By Chris Hemsworth

Workouts and meal plans from some of the best experts in the game, Centr is Chris Hemsworth’s fitness app that everyone (we included) is raving about. Train well, eat better, meditate and focus – if you’re serious about getting fit (and just need some motivational pushes along the way) this is absolutely the app for you.

3. Seven

Seven is a workout app that, based on scientific studies, offers daily 7 minute HIIT workouts straight to your phone. They market themselves as the easiest way to get fit – perhaps because you can do your workout wherever, whenever. Get the most out of the different exercise areas, or get personal with your own tailored plan.

4. Relive

For anyone who loves some aesthetically pleasing visuals (or who is lucky enough to live somewhere scenic), Relive is a fitness tracking app that lets your turn your route into shareable 3D videos.

5. Zombies, Run!

If you’re a runner, you need to get this app right away. This genius idea is based on a zombie apocalypse – your only chance of survival is running. How does it work? You put your headphones in and you get moving. The app will take you through the storyline, forcing you to run when the zombies get close, as well as pushing you to ‘pick up supplies’ and ‘save lives’ en route. The app has loads of different stories, so trust us when we say you’re not getting bored with this one.

6. Get Outside

The fitness app for families, GetOutside helps you find local (or not) fun outdoor activities, events destinations and points of interest that’ll get you and the family out of the house and active. Walking, cycling – even driving – it’s the handy guide you never know you needed.

If you’re a boxing fanatic, you need to download the BOXX app. On-demand workouts as well as live classes (no excuses there!), work out alongside top instructors for your all-round boxing fix. Need a break? They offer strength, core and yoga flows too. And breathe…
