Five 1-Minute Breakfasts You Can Make AT The Gym

Whether a New Year’s resolution or a continuance of old but good intentions, gym visits early in the year are at an all-time high. To make the early rises (or the late finishes) more palatable, it helps to have good and nutritious snacks to hand.

Smoothies and blended drinks are one of the most efficient ways to get your daily servings of protein, carbs, and fruit and vegetables (which is essential for everyone especially someone who is burning as many calories as you are) all in one meal.

This is especially important if you restrict yourself in what you can eat; maybe: gluten, dairy, fish, or meat. Knowing how to maintain a balanced diet with the vitamins and minerals your body and brain need, means that cutting out certain foods or food groups won’t put you at a health disadvantage. In fact, quite the opposite.

The first thing you need to do is get yourself a blender. And because we’re in the business of making your life easier, we’re going to recommend one that is mini, portable, and cordless.

The Smoovii portable blender can be charged up overnight, and then before you head to the gym (or set out for the day) get all the ingredients in the glass container and secure with the leak-proof lid (or the charger base if you can keep it vertical). One charge will last for 18-22 blends.

For all these recipes, the method is the same. Just combine and then blend. If you’re saving it for later, ideally you would keep the container in the fridge.

Coffee & Cream Vegan Breakfast Shake

A hot new take on your morning cup of coffee. Sweet, creamy, and filling.

Ingredients:
●      1 cup brewed coffee, chilled
●      ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
●      1 frozen banana
●      1 Tbsp. rolled oats
●      1 Tbsp. coconut butter
●      1 tsp. ground cinnamon
●      2 pitted Medjool dates

 

 

Spinach & Banana Smoothie

Start your day with a load of greens. 

 

Ingredients:
●      1 cup unsweetened almond milk
●      1 frozen banana
●      1 handful spinach
●      ½ tsp. Spirulina
●      1 Tbsp. almond butter
●      1 Tbsp. raw honey

 

Banana Oatmeal Shake

Swap your bowl for your mini blender and have brakfast on the go.

 

Ingredients:
●      1 cup unsweetened almond milk
●      1 frozen banana
●      2 Tbsp. rolled oats
●      1 Tbsp. peanut butter
●      1 Tbsp. flaxseeds
●      1 Tbsp. pure maple syrup

Oatmeal Cookie Shake

Cookies. For breakfast.
Ingredients:

 

●      1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
●      1 frozen banana
●      2 Tbsp. rolled oats
●      2 Tbsp. raw cacao nibs
●      1 serving maca root powder (serving depends on the brand you use)
●      1 Tbsp. pure maple syrup

 

Anti-inflammatory Mango Lassi

Full of plant-based and nourishing anti-inflammatory ingredients to help you feel your best.
Ingredients:

 

●      1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
●      1 cup unsweetened coconut milk yogurt
●      1 frozen banana
●      1 cup of frozen mango
●      ½ tsp. ground turmeric
●      1 Tbsp. raw honey
