Budapest’s Sziget Festival Playlist – Glass Animals Select Their Top 8 Acts You Can’t Miss

Topman will be at Budapest’s Sziget Festival this year snapping the event’s most stylish punters as well as taking in the city’s carb heavy, cheese laden cuisine. So we got British indie icons Glass Animals (who are also playing the festival) to curate a playlist of the acts we can’t miss out on while we’re there.

Find out more about Sziget Festival

Flume – Fantastic

“Dave (from Glass Animals) made this song with Flume. It’s… fantastic! I think Flume is really talented, and has pushed the boundaries of what’s expected and accepted in electronic music.”

Interpol – The Heinrich Manoeuvre

“Interpol were one of our favourite bands when we were teenagers. We saw them at Reading festival back in the day, I remembered being particularly happy and disappearing into a mosh pit.”

Mac De Marco – Baby’s Wearing Blue Jeans

“We played some shows with Mac and his band a few years ago. We ended up backstage at a festival we hadn’t actually played. We saw a delicious looking cake, and helped ourselves. We left as the Vaccines were walking in, to screams of ‘what happened to our cake!?’ 100% Mac’s fault.”

Jagwar Ma – Come Save Me

“These guys are a wicked bunch and this track is my favourite. We have spent a lot of nights drinking till the sun comes up with them. I hope there will be many more.”

Weval – The Battle

“A friend of mine tipped me off about these guys about six months ago, and they’ve been an ever present on my playlists ever since. If you, like me, haven’t heard of them I highly recommend checking them out.”

Vince Staples – Let Me Know

“This track was produced by our friend DJ Dahi. Dave has worked with Dahi on other records, he’s a wicked producer.”

PJ Harvey – Let England Shake

“We had to include one British artist on here to represent. she’s an unbelievable artist, and this is a really beautiful song. I’ve never seen her live, so I’m going to be watching her at Sziget.”

Cashmere Cat – Mirror Maru

“Cashmere Cat is the place to be if you wanna party. That’s all I’m saying. Every opportunity we get we are in the crowd, getting down.”

And of course…Glass Animals – Agnes
