In a bid to keep on top of current trends, we’ve been keeping an eye on what popular styles are set to be big for winter.
Layering hoodies under smarter outerwear, and owning more hats than ever, are only the start of this seasons trends. Whether you’re looking for a complete wardrobe reshape or you’re simply after a few new killer pieces to spruce up your style, here’s all you need to know.
What are you wearing up top? As always, autumn/winter brings the prospects of new headwear – an exciting time for guys who like to leave the house fuss-free (in the hair department, anyway).
Our design team have had their heads down working on ways to make the humble hat a whole lot more exciting. This season, we’re looking at beanies, flat caps and the people’s favourite: the bucket hat.
With more colour options than ever, every outfit has a designated hat. Have you seen our TOPMAN Signature range, yet? There are plenty of hats there – well worth checking out.
This season, instead of sticking to the ‘one-hat-suits-all’ mentality, opt for a few styles that will compliment your wardrobe. Wear the hat as an addition to an outfit rather than a last-minute throw-on – you’ll be surprised at how easy it can pull everything together.
Wearing one coat is so 2018. This year, layering different coats and jackets makes for one hell of a hot look.
A trend best worn on the coldest of days, playing around with outerwear has never been so fun. Look at your thinner jackets vs your thicker coats and pair them together based on colour and fit (snug and oversized). Going tonal like black and white – and all the greys in-between – will always be a safe bet when layering, but if you feel like of your items make a match, go for it.
Hoodies, gilets, puffers, overshirts – we think you’ll be surprised at how two pieces you’d never think of partnering can look so good.
We’re seeing more and more of this trend and we step into the new season. Whether you wear a suit every day or you’re simply a tailoring fan, wearing a hoodie under your blazer is the new thing.
Perfect for colder days and long commutes, a hoodie is an alternative to a thick jumper (especially if you’ll be inside all day where a jumper isn’t necessary). Hood up or down, make sure you keep it outside of the blazer.
Our only word of caution of smart-meets-streetwear trend: hoodies can lean to the bulky side, so you may find yourself requiring a slightly oversized jacket in order to avoid an overstuffed appearance.
