The March Issue

By Jamie Carson, Junior Digital Editor | Mar 2016

Can you feel it? That beautiful few degrees that we’ve gained since February? Maybe not, but we swear brighter days are on the way. While we wait, here’s a few brilliant things you can be getting on with, featuring Nickelodeon, Iggy Pop and Batman. Never thought we’d write about all of them together…

Batman VS Superman

1. Batman VS Superman

Versus movies haven’t been good in the past (Freddy VS Jason, anyone?), but this DC flick calling into question the power Superman possesses can hopefully break that pattern. Here Batman sets out on a personal vendetta against the alien after the destruction in the last movie, with Lex Luther on the wings creating a new evil while the two heroes fight it out.

Everyone’s favourite iconic sports brand lands at Topman, bringing its classic Neo trainers to the table in a wide range of colours and styles. There’s never been a better time to invest in a pair, as the casual transformation of tailoring still remains a strong trend, where smart shoes are swapped out for cool sneakers.

6. Iggy Pop – Post Pop Depression

5. The Boiler Suit

You may have seen the casual transformation that tailoring has been going through this last few months e.g. hoodies layered underneath blazers, trainers instead of smart shoes. Now it’s going a step further with blazers and trousers being completely removed from the equation and replaced with a cooler uniform – the boiler suit.

6. Iggy Pop – Post Pop Depression

He’s got his shirt back on for a brand new supergroup featuring QOTSA frontman Josh Homme and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders. Stepping away from the shambolic punk of the Stooges, Post Pop Depression feels more heartfelt, slower and deep, with Iggy crooning on tracks like Gardinia and Break Into Your Heart.

Released March 18th

7. Topman LTD - Sodermalm

It kind of sounds like a fancy element on the periodic table, but it’s actually a cool district found in Stockholm, which is the inspiration behind all the timeless workwear pieces found in this latest edition of Topman LTD.

8. The Suits Map

We’ve done some rigorous research into what suits certain types of the country opt for (well, we looked at our deliveries) and these are the results. Even though we love a good spreadsheet, we thought we’d give you the information in a less boring way – by getting the area’s most influential bloggers to showcase their most popular tailoring styles.

9. Rains Waterprof Bags

It’s all well and good having a waterproof jacket, but you carry all your important in your bag (no one wants a soggy lunch). That’s why we now stock waterproof bags by Rains. Not only are they practical, but they look and feel fantastic. Beats carrying a Morrisons plastic bag to work, that’s for sure.

10. Topman 24

Fancy doing an NME quiz with Nick Grimshaw, seeing the Strypes live and getting a lot of free stuff? Then join us on the Topman 24 tour, we’ll be stopping at Cardiff, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and Edinburgh. And if that wasn’t enough we’re also giving away a trip to Austin, Texas.
