The February Issue

By Jamie Carson, Digital Editorial Assistant | Jan 2016

If January is statistically the year's most depressing month, then February must logically be the year's most fun month. Hang on, that makes no sense. Let us try again. Either way, this Feb is going to be great because it's full of ground breaking style, brand new collections and classic literature reworked with the undead. Yeah, you read that last part right.

Rat Boy

1. Rat Boy

Looking for a fresh new sound? Then look no further than Rat Boy, the 19 year old Essex lad that’s putting his paw print on 2016 by combining cheeky indie riffs with a hip hop style delivery. If you crave the days of the mid-2000s when Jamie T and Alex Turner were just spotty faces on the cover of NME, then you’ll love it. Keep an eye out for our Rat Boy Shoot coming soon…

We’re dropping another special Access All Areas collection, a premium line of pieces that collides the key elements of hip hop (slouchy fits, streetwear shapes) with rock ‘n’ roll (all black and white, leather). Expect slick outerwear, branded t-shirts and a unique pair of short leather dungarees.

3. Awards Season Style

Get on your best suit, crack open a bottle of champagne and wait for the hilarious moment where Leo gets denied an Oscar again – then wait for the memes to roll in. Yes, it’s awards season again and we’ll be donning our favourite suits and tuxedos. But you don’t need to go to the BAFTAs to look your best, as no man needs an excuse to look sharp.

4. Pancake Day

Could pancakes be the perfect fashion snack? Quick to eat, easy to accessorise, totally seasonal - as you can see, we're already trying to justify our Pancake Day binge by any means possible. And if you're struggling to understand the relevance of Pugs to pancakes, chill, you're just thinking about things too much.

5. As Seen On…

A good leather jacket is like air – you’re always going to need it. Here McFly bassist Dougie Poynter changes from the archetypal biker jacket to a sleeker Harrington shape, a great transitional investment piece that can be dressed up with a crisp white shirt and dress scarf for night time, or with skinny jeans and a plain tee for the day.

6. Valentine’s Day

Because you have an excuse to treat yourself to some new style, which can sometimes be far greater than the reciprocated love of another human. So whether you’re buying for someone else or for yourself, check out our gifts for Valentine’s Day.

7. Close Up: Douglas Booth

Watch the English actor and style icon discuss love, fashion and why he'd be calling on Ray Winstone to help him out in the event of a zombie attack

3. New Brand: Wood Wood

8. New Brand: Wood Wood

As most cool brands do, Wood Wood was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark. As a sub-cultural founded lifestyle brand, its founders grew up with graffiti and street culture in the 90s where style was key. They mix high fashion, sports and streetwear with youth culture, art and music, creating the best possible product balanced between style and function.

10. Denim Jackets

As we slowly head into spring, you should start thinking about investing in some lighter transitional layers. That’s where our new season denim jackets come in, the classic piece that’s been reinvented in colour ways such as stone, tobacco, white and khaki. But don’t worry, we’ll still have some timeless blues available, too.
