9 Key Pieces

By Daniel Copley, Digital Editor | Aug 2015

Want to get all over the new season but don’t know where to start? Thought so. That’s why we’ve pulled together nine pieces that are guaranteed to smoothly transition your wardrobe into autumn/winter mode with minimum fuss. This list is packed with items that are sure to be AW15 winners, but that don’t require you to pawn your vital organs to afford them…new season shopping has never been so simple.

To find out more about each featured item below, use the SHOP button in the corner of your screen.

1. Khaki Field Jacket, £60

Set to be a key colour for the season, now’s the time to invest in some khaki. This jacket’s military-inspired feel also wins extra points – it fits straight into AW15’s New Utility trend. PS, now would be a good time to read our AW 15 men’s trend preview.

2. Leather Look Backpack, £28

If you’ve been patching your canvas backpack up with gaffer tape for the last couple of months, it’s time to ditch your old bag and find a new one. To be specific, this one. It’s the perfect size and you won’t believe it’s not real leather. So, one strap or two?

3. Grey Waffle T-Shirt, £15

It’s been scientifically proven that a man can never have too many t-shirts. At least that’s what we’ve heard, and that’s what we’re sticking too. Add some essential texture to your collection with this cool waffle tee.

4. Textured Suit Jacket, £120

There’s no wardrobe that wouldn’t benefit from the addition of a good blue blazer. This particular smart jacket is a neat update for the new season with a sharp one button fastening, wider lapels and a hint of texture. An absolute steal that you can smarten-up or casually play down.

5. Blue-Grey Skinny Jeans, £38

There’s nothing wrong with adding a new pair of jeans to your denim arsenal every season – for something you wear so often, you need options. The colour of these stretch skinny jeans is particularly useful – it allows you to wear them with a blue denim shirt without looking too double denimy.

6. Zip Pocket Jogger, £30

Joggers are now so well established as an everyday alternative to jeans we no longer feel the need to shout about how comfortable they are, or how they go with everything, or how they’re great value. We’re past all that. Let’s just say you won’t regret getting hold of these grey marl joggers.

7. Printed Shirt, £30

Slim fit? Check. Nice print? Uh huh. Should I buy it? Yes, yes you should. If you’re in your comfort zone with checks, push your boundaries and upgrade to this subtle printed blue shirt. Wear with jeans and a bomber jacket for an any-day-of-the-week easy outfit solution.

8. Knitted Cape, £35

A breakout trend from last year, capes are back for the season ahead – and they’re bigger than ever. If you’re a daring dresser (or if you’re a little bit cold), this is the item for you.

9. Black Roll Neck Sweater, £18

Roll necks are guaranteed to be essential items once more this autumn, so it’d be a wise decision to start stocking up now. This particular roll neck is crafted in jersey and features a slightly lower neckline than last season, with ribbing around the cuffs and neck. Our tip? Wear yours tucking into jeans or smart trousers.
